The goal is to design native mobile app for ATutor Social on smartphones and hand-held devices running on iOS, Android and Blackberry. The application will consume the data available by RESTful web-services via JSON to render its views and perform its functions. Javascript mobile framework (either Jquery Mobile or Sencha Touch) will help to add UI and excellent touch features to the app. The app will be finally ported to various platforms (iOS, Android, Symbian & Blackberry OS) using PhoneGap as the development framework. Further plans to extend the App for Tablet hand held devices aswell.
