SNOW is an online elearning portal and is a part of the Educational and Services Outreach of the ATRC - Adaptive Technology Resource Centre at the University of Toronto. Our focus in in inclusive education and life-long learning with a special focus in assistive technology and Special Education. In a partnership with the Provincial Schools in Ontario we've offered a number of online workshops that are geared to Educational Assistants. We've been using ATutor for SNOW for four years (having previously used WebCT) and it has been an essential part of our web site.
We offer some 30 online courses. Some are self-paced, unmoderated, and offered for free while others are moderated and a small tuition is charged.
Atutor has been easy to set up and deploy. It's especially spiffy over a dial-up connection which is what many of our rural users have access to. It's been robust and reliable as well as easy to manage.
Support from the Atutor folks has been great. They've been timely and helpful.
We'd like to see a bit more flexibility in managing the layout of future releases of Atutor.
Atutor has been essential to our work and we look forward to future features.
